Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

Job Summary:

Soliant is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. The SLP will be responsible for providing comprehensive speech and language services to students, focusing on assessment, intervention, and collaboration with educators and families to support academic and social development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Intervention: Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students, and develop individualized treatment plans to address student needs effectively.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and school administrators to integrate speech and language goals into educational plans and daily activities.
  • IEP and 504 Planning: Participate actively in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans.
  • Professional Development: Stay informed about current research, trends, and best practices in speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Valid Virginia State License as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Experience: Previous experience in a school-based setting is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong clinical skills in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders, excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
