Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Move Coordinator to join our team at Compass Group, North America. As a Move Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating move activities for company office assets across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate move activities for company office assets across locations, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
  • Log new move requests in the move tracking spreadsheet, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Coordinate and conduct minor moves of boxes, furniture, and file cabinets with assistance as needed, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Coordinate move timing with requestors, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal downtime.
  • Conduct condition assessments of furniture and movable equipment, determining whether to relocate to storage or deliver to the appropriate waste stream.
  • Maintain organization of the warehouse and shelled spaces, managing incoming and outgoing materials to maintain order and efficiency.
  • Create work orders needed to support moves, working with requestors to consolidate tasks into a single work request.
  • Install and remove items to support moves, using hand and power tools as needed, and equipment for moving, including hand trucks, furniture dollies, and carts.
  • Coordinate the receiving of items to support moves, working with vendors, the loading dock, and other move team members to ensure timely delivery of furniture and equipment.
  • Drive a truck to meet scheduled and on-demand move needs, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of assets.
  • Load and unload trucks to move furniture, equipment, supplies, and other materials as directed, maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a safe, clean, and orderly fashion, adhering to standard and prescribed safety regulations.
  • Support members of the move team, providing assistance and guidance as needed to ensure successful execution of move activities.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and.pdf viewer/editors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and push/pull a minimum of 100 pounds.
  • Ability to use a tape measure and understand and calculate dimensions.
  • Ability to read and understand architectural floor plans or construction drawings.
  • Ability to walk, stand, and reach with hands and arms.
