Job Overview

All Fill Inc. is seeking a skilled Service Technician to engage with clients and team members during the installation of new machinery or when addressing issues with existing equipment.

An All-Fill Field Service Technician will dedicate 40-60% of their time traveling to client locations, both domestically and internationally. This role involves collaborating closely with customers to address any requirements they may have regarding All-Fill machinery on-site. When not traveling, the technician will have responsibilities within All-Fill's facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver service and customer support during field visits.
  • Oversee all on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and training.
  • Identify errors or technical challenges and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Generate timely and detailed service reports.
  • Handle service-related inquiries via phone.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality control to share insights across the organization.
  • Assist the assembly department in constructing machinery.
  • Program components for spare parts orders.
  • Prepare and conduct machine Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
  • Troubleshoot and prepare newly assembled machines.

Required Competencies:

The ideal candidate for the All-Fill Field Service Technician position must possess a comprehensive understanding of All-Fill's product range. They should have relevant product handling experience, be adept in customer relations, and possess the mechanical and technical expertise necessary to work on advanced industrial packaging equipment. Additionally, they must be physically capable of working on machinery and willing to travel to client sites worldwide.

Qualifications:

A valid passport is mandatory for all service technicians due to potential international travel. A driver's license is also required, as the technician may need to drive to client locations, airports, and rental car facilities. A High School Diploma or GED is essential, while a degree from a technical college or trade school is preferred. Upon employment, technicians will receive a license to install and modify Allen Bradley/Rockwell Automation software.

Supervisory Duties:

This role does not entail direct supervisory responsibilities, other than ensuring that client personnel operate All-Fill machinery correctly and safely during service visits.

Work Environment:

Field Service Technicians will encounter various work environments throughout their careers. They will be well-acquainted with All-Fill's manufacturing facility, which serves as their base. Additionally, they will be exposed to client facilities, environments, and products across diverse industrial sectors, including agriculture, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, food, and other packaging industries. This role frequently utilizes standard office equipment such as laptops, photocopiers, and smartphones.

Physical Requirements:

Service technicians may be required to perform heavy lifting and endure long hours at client facilities, including managing jet lag and travel both domestically and internationally. They will often work in high-pressure environments where clients depend on their expertise to meet stringent production demands.

  • Ability to walk, climb, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, and bend at the waist.

  • Experience varied travel conditions, whether driving or flying.
  • Travel requirements for this position are 40-60%.

Position Type and Work Hours:

This is a full-time position with potential overtime. Standard business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Travel may necessitate varying work hours.

Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or GED is required, while a technical or trade school degree is preferred. Experience in the packaging industry or a related field is advantageous.
