We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Nurse to join our team at Ascension Seton Northwest. As a Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit.
Responsibilities- Implement and monitor patient care plans to ensure the highest level of care for our patients.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to ensure seamless care.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders to ensure timely and effective care.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.
- BSN
- BLS/PALS/ACLS
- 2 yrs pediatric cardiac ICU experience
- 1 yr inpatient hospital critical care RN experience
