Job Overview

The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for the overall administration of the home health service provider, ensuring effective management of daily operations. Key responsibilities include: coordinating and executing projects that align with both immediate and long-term goals of the organization; overseeing patient eligibility for home care services, planning and supervising comprehensive home health care for patients; implementing and upholding administrative practices, agency philosophy, objectives, and policies to ensure compliance with relevant state and federal regulations; enhancing the agency's profitability; and fostering a motivated and qualified workforce while ensuring high-quality service delivery. This role also serves as a key liaison with management and various departments within the organization.

Compensation: $115,000 - $135,000 DOE

Short Term Incentive Available in Addition to Annual Salary

Key Responsibilities
  • Directs the daily operations of the provider and supervises staff members.
  • Ensures that the Clinical and/or Executive Director is present during all operating hours or provides coverage for those duties, remaining accessible during business hours and available by phone when offsite.
  • Oversees the delivery of high-quality patient care services throughout the care episode, ensuring continuous assessment of patient needs and the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
  • Facilitates effective communication with staff through meetings, case conferences, and mandatory training sessions.
  • Supervises patient care to guarantee safe, economical, and efficient services that comply with accepted nursing and medical standards, federal and state regulations, and payer source criteria.
  • Manages all survey readiness activities and ensures the development and monitoring of corrective action plans.
  • Evaluates staff performance regularly using clinician scorecards and annual performance evaluations.
  • Ensures the hiring of qualified personnel, overseeing licensure verification and credentialing as required by law and policy.
  • Assists in staff recruitment to maintain adequate staffing levels in accordance with the staffing model.
  • Leads the governing body of the provider, overseeing quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives, and maintains an infection control program.
  • Conducts monthly meetings with the medical director, if applicable, and approves medical director invoices for timely payment.
  • Drives operational metrics to ensure alignment with organizational goals related to efficiency, growth, quality, and financial performance.
  • Acts as Emergency Coordinator during crises, ensuring the execution of appropriate plans.
  • Engages with external stakeholders to represent the agency and addresses concerns raised by patients, caregivers, and referral sources, ensuring satisfaction with resolutions.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

License Requirements
  • Registered nurse with a minimum of 1 year of supervisory or administrative experience in home healthcare or a related field.
  • Current CPR certification is required.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License and vehicle insurance, along with access to reliable transportation.
