About the Role:

BHS Corrugated North America is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in our Knoxville facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and standardization of our machinery, aligning with our global locations when possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety and Quality: Ensure all manufacturing processes achieve desired quality results, focusing on conservation of consumables and maximum life of machined products.
  • Process Development and Controls: Develop and implement processes to achieve desired quality results, while focusing on conservation of consumables and maximum life of machined products.
  • Machinery Performance and Reliability: Ensure the highest level of availability is achieved, including maintenance process documentation, spare parts identification, and troubleshooting and training support.
  • Capital Expenditure Planning: Develop and implement capital expenditure plans for equipment and facility.
  • Design and Development: Design special tooling and equipment as required.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with various departments and teams, as well as customers and vendors.

Requirements:

  • Technical Degree: Two-year degree in a relevant field, with five or more years of manufacturing experience highly desired.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of engineering principles and specifications, as well as strong communication skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for at least 45 minutes at a time and lift 35 pounds at waist level.
  • Software and Systems: Proficient in MS Office applications and Computer Design software (AutoCad experience preferred), with SAP experience a plus.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience: Experience in machine shop environments, precision grinding, manual lathes, welding, and precision measurement systems.
