About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our innovative Production Support team at Good Earth Tools, Inc. This exciting opportunity will allow you to contribute to the development of our unique line of industrial equipment and tungsten carbide wear-proofing solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and design manufacturing tools to improve production processes and optimize workflow.
  • Maintain accurate databases of production details and data, analyzing assembly, fabrication, machining, brazing, and other processes.
  • Maximize efficiency by optimizing assembly methods, determining parts, equipment, tools, and processes needed to achieve manufacturing goals.
  • Develop alternative methods to make manufacturing practices more efficient and cost-effective, considering space constraints, material requirements, and current needs.
  • Provide hands-on technical support in the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
  • Collaborate with maintenance staff on the creation, installation, modification, and repair of manufacturing equipment.
  • Work with leadership to provide solutions to manufacturing concerns and conduct time and cost analysis of processes.
  • Draft and produce manufacturing drawings for process improvement initiatives using AutoCad and SolidWorks.
  • Serve as the project manager for process improvement initiatives, ensuring efficient and timely completion.
  • Continuously develop professional expertise by participating in classes, conferences, and other developmental opportunities.
Requirements
  • An Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of related experience; a Bachelor's degree in Engineering may be substituted for related experience.
  • Experience using SolidWorks is required.
  • Previous project management experience is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently are necessary.
  • Experience collaborating with multiple departments is required.

Physical Demands

The employee is required to stand and walk for long periods, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move parts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move parts up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
