Meet is partnering with an innovative medical device company to fill a key role in their engineering team. The company is seeking a Director of Manufacturing Engineering to report to the VP of Engineering and contribute to the development and implementation of short and long-term strategies in support of company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

The Director of Manufacturing Engineering will oversee the planning, development, and implementation of production equipment, processes, tools, and methods required to transfer new products to manufacturing and sustain the manufacturing of released products. This includes budgeting, staffing of the manufacturing engineering department, and establishing systems, programs, policies, and procedures to ensure ISO 13485 compliance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of ten years of manufacturing engineering experience and at least four years in a management capacity or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong technical background with thorough knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials in a medical device environment.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff.
  • Proven experience with QSR/ISO 13485 medical device requirements and Lean Manufacturing methods.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office, including Excel, MS Project, Word, and familiarity with 3D solid modeling packages such as Solid Edge, Solid Works, and AutoCad.
