Position Overview

This remote role within the Abbott Diabetes Care Division focuses on improving the lives of individuals with diabetes. As a leader in diabetes management, Abbott is dedicated to providing high-quality products and support to our clients.

As a Public Sector Sales Executive, your primary responsibility will be to promote the full range of Abbott Diabetes Care products to government accounts in designated regions. This includes:

  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities with healthcare providers.
  • Expanding existing customer relationships and sales.
  • Understanding customer needs and formulating tailored strategies.
  • Facilitating training and implementation upon closing sales.

Your target clientele will include federal medical facilities, such as the Department of Defense, VA Medical Centers, and various public health agencies.


Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with key government facilities to drive access and market share.
  • Manage territory effectively to ensure optimal sales performance.
  • Conduct account management and customer care initiatives.
  • Oversee budget management to maximize return on investment.
  • Implement and uphold quality system effectiveness.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A four-year degree in Business, Communications, Health Sciences, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of successful sales experience, preferably within Abbott or a similar organization.
  • Experience working with government accounts, particularly in the VA and DoD sectors.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • A proactive approach with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
