Job Summary

The IT Systems Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, networks, and storage environments. This includes gathering and interpreting technical specifications, participating in design reviews, and identifying potential mitigation strategies for technical risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Software Maintenance
    • Maintain system software, including upgrades, service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
    • Install and maintain Windows Server 2012R, IIS, SQL, Active Directory, VMware, Hyper-V, Office365, Exchange, and related Microsoft technologies.
  • Security and Access Control
    • Implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company's security team.
    • Configure and administer system and application security and access controls using Microsoft and Azure Active Directory.
  • System and Infrastructure Management
    • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructures.
    • Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning to ensure the highest levels of system and infrastructure availability and reliability.
  • Application Performance Monitoring
    • Monitor and validate application performance, including the identification of possible solutions to improve systems and application performance.
  • Network and Switch Administration
    • Administer network switches and firewalls.
  • Documentation and Communication
    • Prepare and maintain systems documentation of infrastructure, network, and cabling configurations and layouts.
    • Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 8+ years' experience in system and network administration, technical operations, and support, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Recognized certifications a plus, such as CompTia, Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Oracle Certified Associate (OCA), with specializations in Windows Server, SQL Server, and Server Virtualization.
  • Hands-on experience with systems monitoring, systems and network diagnostics, and analytics tools.
  • University degree in Computer Science or a related subject and/or equivalent experience.
