As a Community Physician at Neighborhood Healthcare, you will collaborate with a Care Team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient experiences in comprehensive medical care. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and provide guidance to advanced practice providers, residents, and students as needed.
  • Administer or prescribe appropriate treatments.
  • Discuss potential side effects of medications or immunizations with patients.
  • Encourage health by advising patients on nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention methods.
  • Provide prenatal and postnatal care to mothers and infants, as appropriate for your specialty.
  • Perform surgical procedures within your competency and specialty.
  • Refer patients to specialists for additional consultation when necessary.
  • Conduct follow-ups with patients in high-risk or emergency situations.
  • Perform physical examinations for school admissions, job considerations, or insurance eligibility.
Clinical Administration
  • Review patient records, including allergies, medical history, and immunization status.
  • Gather and document comprehensive information about patients' medical histories.
  • Examine patients for symptoms and physical conditions.
  • Order and interpret various tests and diagnostic images to assess patient conditions.
  • Analyze test results and examinations to diagnose patient conditions.
  • Determine and prescribe medications, dosages, and schedules based on patient conditions and allergies.
  • Administer vaccinations to protect patients from communicable diseases.
  • Document patient visits promptly, including medical history, examinations, diagnoses, and treatment plans, ideally on the same day.
  • Stay informed about organizational activities and promote our mission and goals.
  • Regularly check various forms of communication.
  • Operate at the highest level of your credentials and competencies.
  • Enhance patient experiences by exemplifying our values, including courteous behavior and a commitment to accuracy.
Customer Relations
  • Maintain professional relationships with staff, clients, and the public.
  • Collaborate effectively within the team to achieve departmental goals.
Qualifications

Education: Medical Degree (MD or DO)

Licenses/Certifications:
  • California Medical License
  • Board certification in a Primary Care specialty
  • DEA License
  • BLS Certification
Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish or English/Arabic) are highly desirable but not mandatory.
  • Ability to engage effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds.
Compensation:
  • Family Practice: $268,000 - $363,000 per year, based on experience.
  • Internal Medicine: $281,000 - $380,000 per year, based on experience.
