Job Overview

We are in search of a dedicated and skilled certified respiratory care specialist to enhance our medical staff. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering patient care by monitoring progress and administering prescribed respiratory treatments. Previous experience in a clinical environment is advantageous. A compassionate, patient-focused approach and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team are essential.

We are looking to fill a position for a Certified Respiratory Care Specialist in a long-term residential facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct all necessary respiratory procedures utilizing non-invasive techniques, such as CPAP and BIPAP therapies.
  • Provide education to staff regarding fundamental respiratory therapy practices.
  • Adhere strictly to physicians' directives and execute all prescribed therapies with precision.
  • Engage in the assessment and evaluation of patients, propose treatment options, and counsel physicians on optimal strategies to manage irregularities in the patient's cardiopulmonary systems.
  • Collect blood gas samples and perform preliminary analyses.
  • Document all therapeutic interventions and communicate patient progress to physicians.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in respiratory therapy.
  • Current and valid RRT or CRT license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a licensed respiratory therapist.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Thorough understanding of the latest therapy techniques for patients.
  • Outstanding bedside manner.

Work Schedule:

  • 12-hour shifts.
  • Day shifts.
  • Monday to Friday.
  • Night shifts.
  • Weekend availability.

Preferred Shift Availability:

  • Night Shift.
  • Overnight Shift.
  • Day Shift.
