Job Title: Sales Manager II

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a well-trained sales staff to meet or exceed sales quotas, increase market share, and expand our customer base within established budgetary levels.
  • Ensure that our sales counselors utilize best practices and adhere to Company policies and procedures.
  • Provide ongoing sales instruction and coaching to ensure that all sales counselors meet or exceed customer needs.
  • Manage sales counselors, serving as their primary reference for aftercare processes, prospecting, product knowledge, sales presentations, closing skills, pricing, terms, paperwork, sales guidelines, compliance issues, and customer service delivery.
Market Share and Growth:
  • Develop marketing programs tailored to our community's geography, demographics, ethnicity, or religions.
  • Analyze competitor pricing and stay informed about market trends.
  • Plan and participate in community events to develop prospects and increase awareness of our location.
Expense Management:
  • Review pre-need contracts and at-need cemetery contracts to ensure compliance with HMIS, state, provincial, and federal laws.
  • Approve discounts offered to customers.
  • Prepare reports demonstrating compliance with financial controls.
Operations Support:
  • Maintain marketing materials, training manuals, sales equipment, and other sales supplies.
  • Ensure that sales programs, incentives, and awards, as well as sales presentations, are budgeted, approved, and conform to Company policies.
  • Keep sales rooms and offices clean and organized to provide a professional atmosphere for sales counselors and the public.
Compliance:
  • Ensure that all sales counselors follow the Code of Conduct and obtain proper licensure.
  • Ensure compliance of sales practices with federal, state, provincial, and local regulations.
Requirements:
  • High school or equivalent education.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Sales experience not required, but sales counselor and sales supervisory experience are preferred.
  • Experience presenting, training, coaching, and motivating salespeople and sales forces is a plus.
Benefits:
