Position Overview

Job Summary

The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for executing fundamental radiologic examinations. This role emphasizes the application of radiation safety protocols to ensure the delivery of superior imaging services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts radiologic examinations as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  • Performs standard imaging procedures in alignment with departmental operating protocols.
  • Reviews requisitions for physician directives and specific instructions.
  • Engages with radiologists or physicians for consultation as required.
  • Determines appropriate radiation exposure levels based on patient characteristics.
  • Operates imaging equipment according to the specific requirements of each examination.
  • Assists in the maintenance of comprehensive patient documentation.

Physical Demands

This position necessitates considerable physical exertion, including walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, and bending. The candidate must be capable of lifting and supporting weights up to 75 pounds in the management of patients and medical apparatus. An intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, touch, and finger dexterity is essential. The ability to maintain focus and respond promptly to variations in patient and clinical circumstances is also required.

Qualifications

A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory. Successful completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program is required. Current registration with ARRT (or eligibility) is necessary. A minimum of one year of relevant experience is preferred.
