Position Overview:
As a Mammography Imaging Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality imaging services and exceptional patient care. This position is designed for radiologic technologists who are eager to enhance their skills through a specialized training program.

Program Highlights:
The Mammography Imaging Specialist Training Program offers an enriching opportunity for radiologic technologists to gain essential education and hands-on training. Participants will receive paid, on-the-job training aimed at developing expertise in mammography.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Operate mammographic and related imaging equipment according to established protocols.
2. Position patients effectively, utilizing immobilization techniques when necessary.
3. Assess radiographs for quality, making adjustments to position, density, or contrast as needed.
4. Clearly explain screening procedures to patients to ensure comfort and understanding.
5. Prepare examination rooms and equipment, maintaining cleanliness and adequate inventory of supplies.
6. Collect, verify, and document relevant patient information, including clinical history and prior imaging.
7. Recognize care requirements specific to each patient's age and condition.
8. Implement radiation safety measures to protect patients and staff.
9. Assist in the onboarding and training of new Mammography Technicians.
10. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technologist program.
- ARRT certification in radiography.
- ARRT advanced certification in mammography to be obtained within one year of employment.
- BLS CPR certification.

Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting medical reports.
- Strong understanding of breast anatomy and pathology.
- Knowledgeable in radiographic techniques and patient positioning.
- Excellent customer service skills, both internally and externally.
- Effective time management and organizational abilities.

Physical Requirements:
- Primarily involves walking and standing.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Exposure to radiation, infectious diseases, and bloodborne pathogens may occur.
