Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Hardware Engineer, Production Support to join our team. As a key member of our production support team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting complex digital systems, identifying and qualifying replacements for obsolete parts, and working closely with engineering technicians to devise and monitor tests for troubleshooting problems.
Responsibilities- Support multiple networking communication products currently in production and future Next Generation products.
- Become familiar with the technical design of multiple product lines and work with team members to address a variety of issues.
- Lead efforts to troubleshoot technical issues from production and the field.
- Lead qualification efforts for component changes, including updating schematics and design information.
- Aid the transition of prototype units to low-rate initial production.
- Implement board-level design changes through schematics, CAD support, and board checkout.
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- 5+ years of hardware design or sustaining experience.
- Foundational knowledge of analog and digital logic and timing considerations.
- Ability to prioritize, be detail-oriented, and have a history of managing time well to accomplish multiple tasks in parallel.
- US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work with a temporally and geographically diverse team.
- Ability to document and report on technical solutions/findings.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office products for documentation creation and modification.
- Familiarity with standard test equipment (i.e., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzer, power supplies, etc.).
- Familiarity with production-related processes and common failure modes.
- High aptitude for learning new things.
Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional cash or stock incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
