Chief Operating Officer, Property Management

Atlas Search is seeking a seasoned Chief Operating Officer to lead our Property Management Services team. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence and strategic growth across our portfolio of rent-controlled properties in the NYC area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Operational Strategies: Create and administer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for site management office operations, purchasing, and technical services to ensure seamless execution and maximum efficiency.
  • Due Diligence and Portfolio Management: Draft and finalize management company questionnaires and due diligence forms to ensure a thorough understanding of new business opportunities and existing portfolio properties.
  • Performance Monitoring and Improvement: Oversee annual review and budget processes to align with company goals and objectives, and work with the on-site team to ensure properties meet local codes and requirements.
  • Vendor Management and Compliance: Collaborate with purchasing and risk management to ensure vendor certificates of insurance are valid and meet necessary requirements, and ensure managers and maintenance staff receive required training and maintain necessary licensing and certifications.
  • Strategic Planning and Liaison: Assist in due diligence on potential acquisitions, work with human resources to ensure proper administration of company policies and procedures, and serve as a liaison between site owners, owner representatives, and senior management.
