Position Overview
Under general oversight, this role provides essential administrative support for the financial aid division, engaging in routine clerical tasks that necessitate a foundational understanding of standard office protocols in a busy environment. The main objective of this position is to guide students and their families through the financial aid journey. The individual will undertake various clerical responsibilities as directed by professional staff, requiring minimal independent decision-making.

Veterans' Preference
This role permits eligible veterans and their spouses to claim Veterans' Preference in accordance with applicable statutes. Certain service members may qualify for waivers regarding educational prerequisites for employment within state agencies and are encouraged to apply.

Documentation Requirement
Applicants asserting preference must provide necessary documentation upon application submission.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience:
Preferred one year of office experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Daily - 20%: Offers guidance on the financial aid process to current and prospective students and their families.
  • Daily - 20%: Aids students in completing the FAFSA and other financial aid applications while ensuring confidentiality.
  • Daily - 20%: Digitally archives submitted documents into the college's system.
  • Daily - 20%: Engages in outreach initiatives to encourage FAFSA completion.
  • As Needed - 20%: Executes other related tasks as assigned.
