Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Bilingual Registered Nurse to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a Cardiac Cath Lab RN, you will provide direct nursing care to patients and work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver safe and effective direct care to patients, including administering medication and performing special tests and procedures.
  • Work within Hospitals and departmental policies to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement and document individualized care plans, incorporating age-specific considerations and discharge planning.
  • Participate in orientation and assume precepting and evaluation responsibilities of new personnel.
  • Assist with emergency measures and maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients and families.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement.
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer within 30 days.
  • Nationally Certified in area of specialty (optional).
  • Bilingual English/Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo language skills.
Working Conditions

This position requires heavy work, exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. The working conditions include a significant hazard of chemicals and biohazardous materials requiring personal protective equipment.
