Job Summary

UNM Hospitals is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bilingual Registered Nurse to join our team in the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP). As a key member of our nursing staff, you will provide exceptional care to patients with various cognitive, emotional, developmental, social, and behavioral disorders.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients
  • Administer medication and treatment, and provide education to patients and families on treatment regimens and management of side effects
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and coordinate patient drug and procedure activities
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
  • Provide emotional support and advocacy for patients and families, and facilitate communication between healthcare providers and patients
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS certification
  • 1 year of direct experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting
  • Bilingual English and Spanish language proficiency
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to handle physical and emotional demands of the job. The successful candidate will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and to follow established safety protocols.
