Job Description

At VC3, we're seeking a highly skilled IT Strategic Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in helping our clients achieve their business goals through the effective use of technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our clients, understanding their business needs and goals.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing guidance on technology solutions that align with our clients' business objectives.
  • Lead the contract renewal process, identifying opportunities to grow our service scope with clients.
  • Clearly explain risks and liabilities associated with technology decisions, ensuring our clients make informed choices.
  • Respond to client communications, connecting them with the right resources or providing timely updates.

Client Road Mapping/Budgeting Responsibility:

  • Gather and review feedback, audit outcomes, and other relevant data to understand our clients' current state.
  • Develop and lead the development of technology roadmaps and IT budgets for assigned clients.
  • Review roadmaps with clients, develop or recommend IT budgets, and guide solutions selection that improves alignment with VC3 preferred solutions.
  • Support prioritization, management, forecasting, renewal, and delivery of VC3 solutions to assigned clients, as well as education on those solutions.

Client Meeting Responsibility:

  • Schedule and prepare client-facing meetings based on a cadence set by VC3.
  • Understand and provide business need and business outcome aspects required for internal processes to scope, estimate, and present solutions for clients.
  • Conduct meetings with clients, driving alignment to our standards, reporting on roadmap and progress, outlining next steps, and getting client approval.
  • Help clients understand where further alignment to our solutions improves their business outcomes.

Technology Awareness Responsibility:

  • Understand VC3 technology solutions and standards, the client's adherence or needs relating to those standards, and use internal platforms to drive ongoing alignment.
  • Identify areas where new technology solutions are needed by clients or capture where other internal teams identify that need.
  • Maintain awareness and understanding of client industries sufficient to provide sound guidance on technology investment options.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Document all interactions and activities in our internal systems.
  • Support a clear understanding of roles and responsibilities within VC3 and with clients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date timesheets and other administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Attend training and team meetings as required.
  • Support relationships between VC3, our clients, and 3rd party providers.
  • Leverage client relationships to support VC3 business initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure outstanding delivery of services.
  • Act as an intermediary and trusted advisor between company operations and clients.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of solid business experience; Technical Account Manager experience preferred.
  • 3+ years working in an IT Industry company or technical experience. Managed Services Provider experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent real-world experience.
  • Degrees, certifications, or other designations in relevant technology or business education is an asset.

Travel Requirements: Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, ability to travel when necessary, ability to travel overnight and limited weekends as needed.
