Job Summary

This position provides medical, technical, and administrative support services to contribute to the efficient day-to-day operations of UCR Health's La Quinta work location. The successful candidate will assist in clinical duties, including escorting patients, taking vital signs, and preparing patients for examination. Additionally, they will provide administrative support to providers, interact with patients, and perform clerical tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for examination
  • Take and record vital signs and medical histories
  • Provide administrative support to providers, including scheduling appointments and managing in-basket and incoming faxes
  • Interact with patients in person and on the phone, answering clinic phone and collecting patient information
  • Update and maintain electronic records, including insurance verification and patient prior authorization for medication
  • Ensure the clinic has needed inventory for operation and perform clerical tasks
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have current work authorization and be able to work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. As a University employee, they will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements.

The full salary range for this position is $48,821.20 annually, and salary offers are based on a variety of considerations, including education, licensure, and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
