About Your Work

As a Medical Assistant at Altais Medical Group Riverside, you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care as part of our care delivery team. You'll work closely with a cross-functional team, including Medical Assistants and Medical Receptionists, to ensure seamless patient flow and efficient practice management. Your responsibilities will include taking vitals, rooming patients, cleaning rooms, assisting with procedures, and providing patients with excellent medical care.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient care, including rooming patients, taking vitals, injections, urine analysis, EKG, wound care, and ear lavage
  • Support and answer telephone calls and messages, triage patients, and administer treatment according to provider orders
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, check in patients, and collect co-pays and payments
  • Check out patients and assist with after-visit instructions
  • Assist with prescription orders, referrals, and authorizations
  • Remind patients of overdue services, such as missed appointments, immunizations, labs, and preventative services
The Skills, Experience & Education You Bring

We're looking for a Medical Assistant with a strong background in patient care, preferably with 2+ years of experience in an outpatient setting. You should be a graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program and have experience with EMR systems, preferably EPIC. Specialty experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

This role is based in our office environment, with part-time to full-time schedules. You'll work from our physical offices and occasionally from home. The activity level is sedentary, with most work done at a desk.
