Role Summary:

We are currently seeking a Part-Time K-12 Curriculum Consultant. This role involves:

  • Utilizing extensive K-12 expertise in assigned subject areas (literacy, mathematics, science, humanities, and intervention).
  • Acting as a sales representative for designated regions, focusing on achieving market revenue objectives.
  • Delivering expert presentations and introductory product training for print, digital, and blended learning programs, collaborating with specialists to share responsibilities in the assigned areas.
  • Being a proactive individual with a passion for K-12 education, capable of guiding educators in making informed decisions regarding learning outcomes for students and teachers.
  • Possessing in-depth knowledge of national and California education standards, contemporary pedagogical practices, and market trends.
  • Exhibiting strong communication skills to engage effectively with K-12 stakeholders, including superintendents, administrators, teachers, and paraprofessionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering impactful presentations throughout the sales cycle, covering essential customer interactions such as exhibits, workshops, meetings, pilots, and program activation.
  • Providing training and ongoing support for pilot teachers during the pilot phase.
  • Collecting and relaying customer feedback to sales, product, and marketing teams.
  • Maintaining expertise in Savvas Learning Company’s offerings through the certification process and relevant materials.
  • Facilitating Program Activation training for both new and existing customer accounts.
  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of Savvas Learning Company’s print and digital solutions.
  • Fostering positive relationships with customers throughout the sales process and after activation to ensure satisfaction and support.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service consistently.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in K-12 education, including classroom teaching.
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Specialized training or advanced certification is advantageous.
  • Expertise in educational theory and market trends related to K-12 curriculum.
  • A strong passion for K-12 education and a commitment to learning.
  • Proven ability to deliver engaging presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Previous experience in sales and service within the education sector is desirable.
  • Experience in public speaking and creating compelling presentations for educators and administrators.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with technology, including presentation software and hardware.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel regionally, sometimes on short notice.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
  • Adherence to Savvas Learning Company’s travel and expense policies.
  • Collaboration with team members across departments to address customer satisfaction issues effectively.
  • Self-motivated and capable of independent training and preparation.
  • Ability to engage in meaningful discussions with school districts regarding K-12 curriculum.
  • Understanding of sales strategies, market trends, and the full range of Savvas Learning Company services to better serve customers.
