As the Employee Engagement Specialist at Turning Stone Enterprises, your primary responsibility will be to assess and investigate all assigned team member policy breaches, grievances, concerns, disputes, claims of harassment, discrimination, and allegations of unfair treatment, with a focus on the most critical issues. Key Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly review complaints, collect relevant documentation, and conduct comprehensive, timely investigations, engaging with team members and leadership as needed.
  • Exhibit empathy, patience, discretion, neutrality, and active listening skills while addressing sensitive matters.
  • Travel to various locations to meet with leadership and team members when required.
  • Conduct interviews and gather statements from complainants and witnesses, using sound judgment to evaluate the credibility of information and form fact-based conclusions.
  • Summarize investigation outcomes in standardized written reports, make determinations, and suggest appropriate actions. Submit recommendations to management as necessary and document follow-up outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with various stakeholders across all organizational levels to effectively manage concerns and issues arising from investigations.
  • Proactively identify strategies to prevent or mitigate team member relations challenges through the development of additional policies, procedures, training, and communication.
  • Maintain records of investigations and disciplinary actions within the human capital management (HCM) system.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in Generalist/Business Partner roles and/or Team Member Relations.
  • Prior experience in investigating formal complaints.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant federal and state employment laws and regulations (including ADA, ADEA, FMLA, CFRA, FLSA).
  • Exceptional guest service skills, along with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven ability to cultivate strategic, proactive partnerships with organizational leaders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
  • Experience with various HCM systems.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
