Key Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly assess complaints, gather pertinent documentation, and conduct timely investigations, engaging with team members and leadership as needed.
  • Exhibit empathy, patience, discretion, neutrality, and active listening skills while addressing sensitive matters.
  • Travel to various locations to meet with leadership and team members when required.
  • Conduct interviews and collect statements from complainants and witnesses, applying sound judgment to evaluate the credibility of information and form fact-based conclusions.
  • Compile investigation findings into standardized written reports, make determinations, and suggest appropriate actions. Submit recommendations to management and follow up on outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with diverse stakeholders at all organizational levels to effectively manage concerns and issues arising from investigations.
  • Proactively identify strategies to prevent or mitigate team member relations issues through the development of additional policies, procedures, training, and communication.
  • Maintain records of investigations and disciplinary actions within the human capital management (HCM) system.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in Generalist/Business Partner roles and/or Team Member Relations.
  • Prior experience in investigating formal complaints.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Exceptional guest service skills, along with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven capability to establish strategic, proactive partnerships with organizational leaders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Experience with various HCM systems.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
