Job Overview

The primary responsibility of the Quality Coordinator is to guarantee the seamless provision of CorVel's comprehensive workers' compensation services through the formulation, execution, and continuous application of targeted quality assurance mechanisms and training programs. This role serves as the main source of quality assurance insights for the pharmacy solutions division, assisting management in addressing quality-related challenges and overseeing the performance of team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough quality assessments and audits to ensure effective claims management and office operations, providing performance evaluations and actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Identify training needs and facilitate the development of claims staff, including the instruction and re-instruction of offices on established best practices and new procedures.
  • Provide support for incoming calls to the Pharmacy team during peak times, ensuring availability when representatives are occupied.
  • Compile daily reports on rejected claims and manage forwarded quality assurance emails.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete after-hours projects as needed.
  • Assist in the training and onboarding of new pharmacy representatives and supervisors.
  • Maintain and update reference materials, including Standard Operating Procedures, to support team operations.
  • Offer coaching and feedback to representatives to enhance their performance.
  • Generate comprehensive quality assurance reports for management review.
  • Publish departmental newsletters to disseminate important information to the team.
  • Complete various pharmacy-related projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year of experience in pharmacy benefit management.
  • Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to analyze complex quality assurance scenarios and provide clear solutions.

Compensation:

CorVel employs a market-based compensation strategy, and salary ranges may vary based on geographic location, skills, experience, and market conditions. The pay range for this position is $31.55 per hour.
