About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Enso Village. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for assisting in the overall coordination of food preparation, cooking, and baking activities, ensuring the highest quality and nutritional value of food prepared under the supervision of the Executive Chef.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service: Maintain production kitchen operations to ensure consistency with high-quality meal service, preparing menu items and recipes under the guidance of the Executive Chef.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen team members on shifts in the absence of the Executive Chef, train, evaluate, and recommend discipline to all kitchen personnel under the supervision of the Executive Chef.
  • Quality Control: Taste test and evaluate food before serving to ensure standards are met, with a close eye for meal presentation.
  • Inventory Management: Communicate ordering needs and maintain accurate purchasing lists, ensuring all necessary items are identified and procured.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Ensure all production needs and cook station checks are performed before and after meal service, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent, with a culinary degree or culinary arts certificate preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years' experience managing kitchen operations in fine-dining, restaurant, hotels, or other food service outlets.
  • Certifications: ServSafe certification preferred.
  • Language: Proficiency in English.
