About the Job:

Halo Staffing Group is seeking an experienced Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team. As an Insurance Verification Specialist, you will be responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage, collecting co-pays, and scheduling surgeries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify patient insurance coverage and collect co-pays
  • Schedule surgeries and ensure accurate patient information
  • Assist with check-out, medical records, and answering phones
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years recent medical experience in a hospital admitting and/or surgery center
  • Good communication skills, including verbal and written
  • Completion of a Medical Administrative Course or Medical Assistant Course
  • Good work history and positive references
  • Computer skills, including EMR
