Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Director, Medical Staff Services, performs a variety of administrative, staff support, and clerical functions. These functions require a range of skills and knowledge of organizational policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include assisting with inquiries, performing data entry, online verifications of medical licensures and other credentials, verifying physician hospital affiliations, general queries, and reports from the MD Staff database, mailings, filings, and other functions as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform online verifications of AMA, medical licensures, malpractice insurance, NPDB, and other credential certificates using the Application Checklist.
  • Accurately enter data into the medical staff applications and/or reappointments for physicians and allied health practitioners.
  • Monitor expirables, including medical licensures, DEA certificates, professional liability insurance, and other credential certificates.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • Two years of working experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in computer software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other credential databases.
  • Strong ability to read and write, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to apply common sense principles and knowledge to analyze and solve problems that arise.
