Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Medical Transport Specialist to provide emergency medical services to patients in need. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency medical procedures and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical transport services to patients in need, including emergency and non-emergency situations.
  • Respond to dispatch instructions and drive emergency vehicles to specified locations.
  • Determine the nature and extent of an illness or injury, and administer basic life support procedures as needed.
  • Remove patients from vehicles or accident scenes, and assist in transferring them to receiving facilities.
  • Take and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and respiratory rate.
  • Administer prescribed treatment at the scene of an emergency, or in specially equipped vehicles.
  • Assist admitting and billing personnel in obtaining and recording patient information.
  • Complete field care reports, patient billing/trip tickets, and daily driver's unit checkout forms.
  • Assist with equipment, medication, and supply inventory management.
  • Participate in on-call coverage as needed.

Requirements:

  • CA EMT Certification
  • Healthcare Provider Card
  • Current CA Drivers License
  • Ambulance Drivers Certificate (ADC)
  • Medical Examiner's Certificate (DL-51)
