Position Overview
As a Senior Operations Research Engineer at the NH-0801/1515-4 level, your responsibilities will encompass a variety of critical tasks:

Key Responsibilities:
1. Act as a principal Ground Test baseline engineer, contributing to a comprehensive Missile Defense System (MDS) testing initiative, including qualifications as a Mission Director to evaluate missile defense capabilities and facilitate the deployment of a cohesive and effective solution for military personnel.

2. Strategically plan, design, and implement system ground tests, including on-console operations, to gather essential test data in accordance with stakeholder specifications.

3. Innovate methods to oversee integrated ground test programs, ensuring that plans and schedules meet quality standards.

4. Manage troubleshooting efforts for network and communication challenges during the execution of MDA Ground tests.

5. Provide both technical and managerial guidance to the team throughout the design, integration, and execution of ground test voice recording, call manager setups, and test data visualization.

Certification Requirements:
- Employee must obtain and maintain a Non-Critical Sensitive (Secret) clearance.
- Required to achieve a Practitioner level certification in Test and Evaluation.
- Must complete mandatory Back to Basics (B2B) certification within 60 months of entering the position.
- Must acquire 80 Continuous Learning Points every 24 months.

Qualifications:
To qualify at the NH-04 level, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03/GS-13 grade level in the Federal service.

Specialized Experience (SE) may include:
- Managing engineering test programs for complex weapon systems.
- Consulting on testing of complex weapon systems, subsystems, and components.
- Advising on the integration of complex weapon systems.
- Developing test concepts, policies, and standards to support verification, validation, and accreditation of core models.

Experience may include both paid and unpaid work, including volunteer activities through National Service programs.

Education:
- A degree in Engineering or a combination of education and experience that provides a thorough understanding of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying engineering.
