Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of engineers to launch new vehicle tooling and improve current production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and lead project activities to ensure timely and efficient launch of new manufacturing processes
  • Develop and implement quality and reliability objectives for finished products
  • Analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives
  • Plan and establish sequence of operations to fabricate and assemble parts to promote efficient utilization
  • Provide technical direction and assistance to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues
  • Support the launch of new vehicles during the initial production stage
  • Develop and implement FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) to identify and mitigate potential failures
  • Mentor and develop engineering talent to ensure a skilled and knowledgeable team
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with team members and management to improve maintenance and production interaction
  • Ensure team member compliance with Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering
  • 1-5 years of job-related experience preferred
  • Experience with various manufacturing processes such as metal stamping, welding, brazing, and hemming
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CAD modeling
  • CATIA V5/V6 experience a plus

Additional Information:

This position may require occasional travel and flexibility in working hours, including weekends, holidays, and off-shifts. Position may also require on-call duty or overtime due to overall responsibility.
