Job Title: Senior Project Accountant/Financial Analyst

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Accountant/Financial Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for analyzing and processing project start-up requests, establishing and maintaining open communication about project finance with project managers and teams, and collaborating with project managers to process monthly project billing, revenue recognition, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and process project start-up requests, including fielding questions and making recommendations for optimal project setup and structure.
  • Establish and maintain open communication about project finance with project managers and teams.
  • Collaborate with project managers to process monthly project billing, revenue recognition, and reporting.
  • Analyze project financial health, variance, and root cause, and communicate analysis to project management.
  • Compile and analyze special reporting as requested.
  • Answer questions and communicate complex project financial topics with stakeholders.
  • Become subject matter expert on project financial concepts.
  • Make suggestions on process improvements and provide documentation and assistance with implementation of changes.
  • Review and confirm contract billing terms, fees, and other accounting-related issues to support the contract review process.
  • Provide uniform recording and reporting on project-related expenses.
  • Support project managers with sub-consultant invoice review, approval, and processing.
  • Submit invoices to clients via multiple delivery methods and retain organized supplemental documentation.
  • Collaborate with clients and project managers to resolve billing issues in a timely manner and with a customer service approach.
  • Process invoice revisions and provide supporting documents to assist in timely collection of receivables.
  • Coordinate project closures and reconcile balances.
  • Establish, maintain, and organize project financial files.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project finance in engineering or architecture fields.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Deltek Vantagepoint preferred.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Ability to expertly manage time efficiently with competing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to relate and present to all levels of stakeholders, individually and in groups.
  • Possess advanced Excel skills.
  • Proficiency with other Microsoft software and systems, including Word, Teams, OneNote, PowerPoint, SharePoint.
  • Experience with project management concepts.
  • Able to work equally well independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of problem-solving ability and ability to exercise critical thinking skills in a dynamic environment.
What We Offer:
  • Hiring base salary range: $68,000-$91,000 annual.
  • This position is eligible for time and a half overtime pay.

The base salary is one component of PAE's competitive compensation package for employees. We take into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, internal equity, and geographic location in determining exact salary offered. At PAE, roles are eligible for additional rewards, including salary increases and annual bonuses based on individual performance. The above range represents PAE's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
