About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Account Executive to join our Sales and Success team at Canva. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for identifying, prospecting, and engaging with Small and Medium-sized Business (SMB) clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct outbound sales activities to identify and engage with SMB clients
  • Develop a deep understanding of SMB customers' needs, pain points, and objectives to tailor Canva's solutions effectively
  • Proactively reach out to potential SMB clients via phone, email, and other channels to present Canva's value proposition and product offerings
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with SMB clients through regular communication, follow-up, and exceptional customer service
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including Sales & Success, Marketing, and Product, to optimize the sales process and ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and performance metrics, including monthly quotas and conversion rates
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline management using our CRM system
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and product developments to effectively position Canva in the SMB market segment
Requirements
  • Proven track record of success in outbound sales or account management roles, preferably in a B2B or SMB-focused environment
  • Strong sales acumen with excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Results-oriented mindset with a passion for driving revenue growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
  • Familiarity with CRM and outreach software (e.g., Salesforce, Outreach IO, Sales Navigator and Gong)
  • Prior experience in the tech industry, SaaS sales, or working with SMB clients is a plus
