We're seeking a skilled Business Development Representative to drive sales and build relationships with key decision-makers in K-12 schools and public libraries in the San Antonio, Texas area.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Identify new sales opportunities by researching industry tools and leveraging industry connections.
  2. Build relationships with key decision-makers, including Superintendents, Principals, Architects, and Library Directors, to understand their needs and challenges.
  3. Develop sales leads by cultivating opportunities for evolving learning environments and assessing client requirements.
  4. Transition leads to the internal sales team, providing support and guidance as needed throughout the project.
  5. Collaborate with the Inside Sales Specialist to maximize the potential of the territory through prospecting and networking strategies.
  6. Work remotely, staying connected with the team virtually to share ideas and strategies and meet sales goals.
  7. Occasional travel within the territory to visit educational institutions, with occasional overnight travel.
  8. Attend conferences, conventions, trade shows, and other K-12 events to expand knowledge and grow the network.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  2. 3-5 years of experience in a hunting sales role with a proven track record of success.
  3. Strong relationships and experience working with K-12 education markets.
  4. Familiarity with learning environments, furniture, and supplies.
  5. Ability to work remotely and manage own time effectively.
  6. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  7. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
