Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and optimize the operational functions of our firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in asset management operations, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of global equity markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Oversight:
  • Manage daily operations related to global publicly traded equity investments, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices to optimize workflows, reduce operational risk, and improve service delivery.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead and mentor a team of operations professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Set clear performance objectives and conduct regular performance evaluations.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Work closely with investment, sales and marketing, compliance, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of operational processes and alignment with investment strategies.
  • Data Management:
  • Oversee the management of investment data, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting for performance analysis and decision-making.
  • Vendor Management:
  • Coordinate with external service providers, including custodians, brokers, and technology vendors, to ensure high-quality service and adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
  • Stay abreast of industry regulations and ensure that all operational processes comply with applicable laws and standards.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare and present operational reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics, performance indicators, and areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field
  • Experience in operations management within asset management companies, with a focus on publicly traded equities.
  • Strong knowledge of equity markets, investment processes, and operational workflows.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools, including portfolio management systems and data analytics platforms.
