Job Overview:

Terex is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer Co-op to join our team. As a key member of our Early Talent Program, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging real-world projects that drive business results at our global organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and recommend automated solutions for pick and place material handling applications
  • Create CAD models detailing material packaging and fit
  • Design end effectors and other part holding devices
  • Participate in the installation and sequencing of machines, workstations, tools, and supplies to optimize the manufacturing process
  • Work within an industrial team to assemble, test, and program automated devices or robots
  • Integrate industrial robots or similar machines into a manufacturing operation
  • Investigate and recommend vision systems to assist in the pick and place operation
  • Prepare documentation for training and operation, and maintenance manuals for developed equipment
  • Study manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, assembly, and weld processes
  • Gather and analyze process information, including cycle times, measurements, test results, trends, etc., used for statistical process control, cost analysis, and planning

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing an ABET-accredited bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Technology Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a similar field
  • Able to work full-time 40 hours per week for 3 to 6 months in Redmond, WA
  • Comfortable working in a high-speed production environment
  • Working knowledge of basic office programs (Excel, Project, Word, etc.)
