Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Redmond, WA. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products are manufactured and packaged to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support to internal and external teams to ensure products meet specifications.
- Conduct production part performance evaluations and provide engineering solutions based on test results.
- Support the creation of part specifications and packaging/production specifications.
- Perform root cause analysis and design corrective actions to reduce defects.
- Design, test, and implement tools to support production operations.
- Support Nintendo of America Inc. (NOA) Corrective Action Request (CAR) initiatives.
- Create engineering documents specifying requirements for packaging, assembly, and quality control of retail finished goods.
- Model, build, test, and refine jigs and tools used by production, refurb/reman/repair, and service teams.
- Provide input and recommendations for design validation testing to qualify new components and packaging materials.
- Evaluate hardware accessories for compliance with Nintendo guidelines and regulations.
- Collaborate with Nintendo Company Limited (NCL) engineering teams on production and supply chain related projects.
- 3 or more years of related engineering experience.
- Operational and theoretical knowledge of environmental, vibration, compression, and impact stress testing methodologies.
- Experience in high-volume automated and manual production environments.
- In-depth knowledge of packaging materials and associated performance testing protocols.
- Strong background in part/component and assembly design, design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), functional dimensioning, geometric tolerancing, and creating data sets that fully define manufacturing requirements and critical quality attributes.
- Ability to communicate in fluent verbal and written Japanese and English.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer certification preferred.
- Valid passport required.
- Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N1 certification or equivalent capability.
This position includes a base salary range of $89,000 - $142,500 annually, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
