Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Redmond, WA. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products are manufactured and packaged to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to internal and external teams to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Conduct production part performance evaluations and provide engineering solutions based on test results.
  • Support the creation of part specifications and packaging/production specifications.
  • Perform root cause analysis and design corrective actions to reduce defects.
  • Design, test, and implement tools to support production operations.
  • Support Nintendo of America Inc. (NOA) Corrective Action Request (CAR) initiatives.
  • Create engineering documents specifying requirements for packaging, assembly, and quality control of retail finished goods.
  • Model, build, test, and refine jigs and tools used by production, refurb/reman/repair, and service teams.
  • Provide input and recommendations for design validation testing to qualify new components and packaging materials.
  • Evaluate hardware accessories for compliance with Nintendo guidelines and regulations.
  • Collaborate with Nintendo Company Limited (NCL) engineering teams on production and supply chain related projects.
Requirements
  • 3 or more years of related engineering experience.
  • Operational and theoretical knowledge of environmental, vibration, compression, and impact stress testing methodologies.
  • Experience in high-volume automated and manual production environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of packaging materials and associated performance testing protocols.
  • Strong background in part/component and assembly design, design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), functional dimensioning, geometric tolerancing, and creating data sets that fully define manufacturing requirements and critical quality attributes.
  • Ability to communicate in fluent verbal and written Japanese and English.
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer certification preferred.
  • Valid passport required.
  • Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N1 certification or equivalent capability.
What We Offer

This position includes a base salary range of $89,000 - $142,500 annually, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
