Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Test Engineer to join our team at Actalent. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for supporting PCBA test and debug at a contract manufacturer in Carson City, NV.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program and execute functional testing of PCBAs
  • Diagnose nonconformances identified during testing and document defects for communication back to the PCBA manufacturing team and CM
  • Coordinate PCBA rework to repair defects
  • Deploy functional testing and PCBA debug at the CM
  • Support electrical debug of PCBAs and train staff at the CM on programming, testing, and electrical debug of PCBAs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years' experience with debugging PCBA designs that include microprocessors, FPGAs, power supplies, and/or sensors
  • Experience with circuit-level debug to the component level
  • Preferred qualifications include experience delivering test solutions to manufacturing facilities, demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing manufacturing test strategies for electrical subassemblies, IPC-A-610 certification or familiarity, experience testing, troubleshooting, and debugging RF electronics, programming experience in Python, C#, C++, or MATLAB, and experience writing software to control test equipment and devices under test (DUTs) using standard software tools
