Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized behavior intervention and medical support to students in a classroom setting.
  • Assist individuals or small groups of students to enhance learning and promote academic success.
  • Support teachers with instruction and classroom management in special education and general education classrooms, lunchrooms, and play fields.
  • Collaborate with educators to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
  • Assist with data collection and progress monitoring to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in areas such as behavior intervention, medical support, and instructional strategies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Successful completion of a competency assessment demonstrating knowledge and ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics.
  • Completion of at least 48 college credit units may substitute for the competency assessment.
  • May require a valid driver's license and compliance with District skill/competency requirements.
  • May require a valid First Aid/CPR card.
