Job Summary

As a Senior Mechanical Project Manager at Synectics, you will be responsible for overseeing complex projects from start to finish. This includes delegating tasks to team members, mentoring junior project managers, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delegating work and assignments to team members based on expertise and time constraints
  • Mentoring and teaching Assistant Project Managers to aid in company growth
  • Organizing, managing, and planning complex projects, including evaluating and maintaining KPIs and other metrics
  • Collaborating with a team to complete assigned projects on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency
  • Conducting cost analysis and estimating expected costs for projects
  • Preparing and implementing budgets based on estimates
  • Conducting risk assessments and reporting to management, providing recommendations for risk mitigation
  • Addressing questions, concerns, and complaints in a timely manner throughout the project
  • Acting as a liaison between company, customers, and vendors to ensure contracts, drawings, submittals, and change orders are executed and communicated
  • Communicating and collaborating with field staff to ensure proper coverage for onsite requirements
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices
  • Attending all project-related meetings both internally and onsite
Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, which may include business, marketing, or communications
  • At least five years of related experience required
  • PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications highly desirable
