Job Title: Lead CNA/HHA

At Sunrise Senior Living, we are committed to providing quality care and services to our residents. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Lead CNA/HHA to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Lead CNA/HHA will provide supervisory support to our care team, ensuring that our residents receive the highest level of care and services. This role will involve leading by example, providing guidance and coaching to care team members, and ensuring that our residents' individualized service plans are being met.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide supervisory support to care team members, including taking attendance, managing call-offs, and responding to shift requests.
  • Support care team members in providing Activities of Daily Living (ADL) care and services to residents, including bathing, grooming, and personal care.
  • Encourage personalized and meaningful resident participation in life enrichment programming and ADLs.
  • Assist with meal service in the dining room and coach care team members on hospitality standards.
  • Accurately document care and services provided to residents and review care manager documentation throughout the shift.
  • Ensure compliance with Sunrise's Timekeeping and Meal/Rest Period policies.
  • Display flexibility in work schedule and work holidays, evenings, weekends, and additional shifts as needed.
  • Prepare for shift by obtaining resident group assignments and printing daily assignment sheets for care team members.
  • Participate in crossover meetings and share pertinent information with other Lead Care Managers.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED strongly preferred and may be required per state regulations.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with care team members, community managers, residents, and family members.
  • In states where applicable, must maintain applicable certifications.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Medication Management Certificate required; ongoing training and re-education per Sunrise and state requirements.
  • Previous experience working with seniors and a desire to serve and care for seniors.
  • Demonstrates leadership competencies, including the ability to delegate assignments, make choices and decisions, and react to difficult situations.
