Job Title: Diesel Mechanic
Company: Waste Connections

As a Diesel Mechanic at Waste Connections, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repair of engines, chassis, and body components, hydraulic cylinders, brake systems, suspension systems, cooling systems, wheels, and tires. You will also inspect equipment and/or trucks for condition, operations, parts, and fluid levels, differentials, final drives, pump drives, and hubs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repair of engines, chassis, and body components
  • Inspect equipment and/or trucks for condition, operations, parts, and fluid levels
  • Utilize vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes and initiate or assign repairs

Requirements:

  • Experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems, brake systems, suspension systems, cooling systems, and other related systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
