Job Description:

As a Senior Product Development Engineer at Infineon Technologies, you will be responsible for leading the technical project management of R&D backend operations to ensure the efficient development of products. You will collaborate with project managers to create detailed project plans for successful execution, minimize the cost of project execution by identifying opportunities to reduce cycle time and optimize workflows, and coordinate new product builds to ensure timely delivery of samples during all phases of execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the technical project management of R&D backend operations to ensure efficient product development.
  • Collaborate with project managers to create detailed project plans for successful execution.
  • Minimize the cost of project execution by identifying opportunities to reduce cycle time and optimize workflows.
  • Coordinate new product builds to ensure timely delivery of samples during all phases of execution.
  • Work closely with manufacturing to ensure product solutions fit into the factory roadmap.
  • Lead new product qualification, define qualification plans, and generate qualification release documents.
  • Monitor qualification lots, dispose of failures, and develop mitigation plans as needed.
  • Create development and qualification reports to demonstrate compliance with the new development process.
  • Generate specifications for qualified devices per MIL-PRF-19500 and MIL-PRF-38535.
  • Partner with factory operations teams to enable smooth production ramp of new products.
  • Drive problem-solving, hypothesis prioritization, and derive lessons learned.
  • Coach and challenge new ideas, balance risks and opportunities, and drive decisions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering.
  • Understanding of electronic engineering principles, including analog and digital circuits, power devices, and high-speed signal integrity.
  • Ability to develop and sustain process-driven methods for product development.
  • Demonstrated skills in problem-solving, communication, and teamwork.
  • Ability to simplify complex and detailed standards and processes into actionable, easy-to-understand flows for product execution.
  • Must be a team player and a self-starter.
