Senior Scientist for Biologics Development

This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to various Discovery Research Therapeutic Areas (TAs) and Projects by providing in-depth analytical and functional characterization of biologics and biopharmaceutical products. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing mass spectrometry workflows for the characterization of biologics and biotherapeutics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute new analytical methods and techniques to characterize complex proteins/glycoproteins, antigens, and novel protein-based therapeutics.
- Analyze, document, and report data concisely, formulate conclusions, and design follow-on experiments based on multidisciplinary data.
- Provide direct mentorship and guidance to junior scientists and team members, fostering their scientific development and growth.
- Present original work internally and at scientific conferences; may author or co-author scientific papers or patents.
Qualifications:
- BS or MS or PhD in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or related field with typically 10+ (BS), 8+ (MS) or 0+ (PhD) years of experience.
- Demonstrated theoretical and practical understanding of scientific discipline with the ability to learn and master innovative technologies.
- In-depth experience with various mass spectrometry platforms (Orbitrap and Q-ToF), MS workflows for protein characterization, and MS software applications for analyzing both routine and complex data sets.
