The Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Scientist II to join our team in Multispecific Engineering. As a key member of our Biologics Discovery Sciences group, you will be responsible for designing, engineering, and producing multispecific biologics to support various therapeutic areas at AbbVie.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for design, engineering and production of multispecific biologics to support all Abbvie therapeutic areas
  • Evaluate and integrate state-of-the-art technology to improve therapeutic production platforms, and demonstrate creative thinking to solve difficult problems
  • Supervise 1-2 scientists, evaluate team performance, and is accountable for the effective performance of team

Qualifications

  • PhD, MS, or BS degree in Biochemistry, Biochemical engineering or related disciplines with typically 4+ (PhD), 10+ (BS) or 12+ years of experience
  • Extensive experience in multispecific biologics engineering and knowledge of biologic pipeline progression from exploratory through candidate nomination
  • Experience managing direct reports and providing performance evaluations and development opportunities
