Mail Room Clerk

Gurstel Law Firm, P.C. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Mail Room Clerk to join our team. As a Mail Room Clerk, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our mail room, handling a variety of tasks with precision and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Process, sort, bind, log, and deliver mail in a timely and accurate manner
- Prepare mail packages for shipment, including attaching filing fees to court documents
- Sort interoffice and regular mail by department or individual
- Log and distribute overnight packages, maintaining accurate records
- Maintain mailroom supply inventories, ensuring adequate stock levels
- Interact with shipping and receiving vendors, resolving any issues that may arise
- Operate mailroom equipment, including postage meters, mail sorting machines, envelope openers, scanners, mail sealers, and folding machines
- Attach checks to outgoing mail, ensuring secure and efficient processing
- Log certified mail, returned mail, and registered mail, maintaining accurate records
- Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform functions of the job
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- High school diploma or equivalent GED required
- 0-2 years of experience in the field or related area
- High level of attention to detail, with ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Digital dexterity to fold, stuff, and seal large numbers of letters
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods, with ability to carry up to 20 pounds
- Responsible individual who can work both independently and in a team environment
- Competency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with basic office hardware, including scanners, fax machines, and copiers
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and dependability
- Valid driver's license
