We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll and HRIS Specialist to join our team at Heritage Academy Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining payroll systems, processing paychecks, and providing technical support to HRIS users.
Key Responsibilities- Payroll: Checking timesheets for accuracy, entering data into databases and spreadsheets, handling direct deposit requests and data, processing paper checks for distribution, acquiring all necessary signatures to distribute payroll, processing wage garnishments, and making adjustments in pay for raises, bonuses, and commission.
- HRIS: Processing employee data like leaves and benefits, exporting regular and ad hoc reports from internal databases, creating new accounts and managing access permissions, training system users on functionalities and new features, gathering payroll data like wages and working hours, updating employee records with new hire information, troubleshooting and reporting technical issues, and developing data processing guidelines.
- Education: Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
- Experience: Three to five years of experience in a payroll role and experience with HRIS administration.
- Special Skills: Hands-on experience with UKG, excellent attention to detail, exceptional mathematical and calculation skills, excellent analytical and reporting skills, verbal and written communication, ability to work with a team, knowledge of payroll, garnishments, and benefits distribution, multitasking abilities, and good research and analysis skills.
The successful candidate will work in a typical office environment with occasional exposure to outdoor weather. Frequent computer use is expected, and the ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds is required.
