Controller Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Controller to join our team at the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's financial records and accounts, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of accounting, including billing, general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, tax compliance, inventory accounting, revenue recognition, and special analyses.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and accounts in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Develop and implement internal controls to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Monitor cash and funding balances.
  • Oversee payroll and tax compliance.
  • Additional controller duties as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Proficient in accounting software, databases, and spreadsheets (i.e. QuickBooks Desktop and Excel).
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting and financial management preferred.
  • Exceptional knowledge of accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Benefits:

Pay Range:

$85,000 to $100,000 DOE

Compensation: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
